ELHC work closely with service users, carer’s and their families, and we provide person-centred and therapeutic care which is tailored to the needs of the individual service user. The services we provide include but are not limited to:

• Social duties to include engaging with clients, enabling, motivating, and companionship.
• Monitoring duties to include medication, health related activities, recording, and undertaking other task where appropriate.
• Maintenance duties to include shopping, food prep, pension collection.
• Personal care to include washing, dressing, bathing, toileting.
• Domestic duties to include washing up, cleaning, laundry etc.
• Sleeper night/Waking Night – provision of care services through the night for those people who need them. This can either be on a ‘sleeper night’ basis, where the care worker expects a reasonable nights sleep but is on hand for emergencies, or a ‘waking night’ where the care worker is on duty throughout the night.
• Respite care – involves short term or temporary care of a few hours or weeks and is designed to provide relief, or respite, to the regular care worker. It gives clients’ care workers the opportunity to attend to everyday activities or go on holiday while ensuring clients’ needs are still supported.
